GoTo Connect
SIP setup

GoTo Connect (formerly Jive) has full self-service BYOD through PBX Admin. SIP credentials are right next to the extension.

Plan: Standard plan and above. BYOD is enabled by default for admins.

Five to ten minutes

    Sign in to PBX Admin

    Go to admin.goto.com and pick the phone system you manage. Click 'PBX Admin'.

    Extensions → pick one → Edit

    Open the target extension. You'll see tabs for Call Flow, Voicemail, and Devices.

    Devices → Add Device → Generic SIP Device

    Name it 'SoloDial'. GoTo generates a password automatically.

    Copy the SIP settings

    The device's 'SIP Settings' panel shows: Username (SIP user), Password (SIP password), Proxy (registration URL). The extension number is already shown at the top.

Watch out for
  • GoTo uses different regional proxies (e.g. sip.jive.com, sip.ams.goto.com). Copy the Proxy value verbatim.
