Cloud PBX Call required

Ooma Office
SIP setup

Ooma Office supports BYOD but the credentials live in an engineering-provisioning system, not the customer portal. A support call is required.

Plan: Pro and Pro Plus plans. Consumer Ooma (non-Office) does not support SIP BYOD.
Why the call is required

Ooma does not expose SIP credentials in the customer portal. A support agent must generate and email them.

What to do first

  1. 01

    Identify the extension

Sign in to office.ooma.com, find the extension you want dedicated to the AI. Note the number.

    Ooma Office Users page
  2. 02

    Call support at 1-866-939-6662

Use the script below. Reference your extension number and account email. Budget 1-2 business days.

Script for the call

Say this when support picks up

  1. I'm on Ooma Office Pro and I need to set up a remote SIP extension for a third-party AI voice receptionist (SoloDial).
  2. Please provision a SIP BYOD extension on my account and email me the SIP server, the SIP username, and the SIP password.
  3. Please also confirm whether I need to add any firewall or IP allowlist on your side so a cloud-based SIP client can register successfully.
Watch out for
  • Ooma's consumer Telo device uses a proprietary protocol and cannot be used as a SIP source. This guide is only for Ooma OFFICE (Pro/Pro Plus).
